Architect Prof. Hermann Kaufmann, architect Prof. Christiane Thalgott and the Olympic Park Munich were awarded the “Bavarian Architecture Prize 2021” – Prof. Hermann Kaufmann also received the “Bavarian State Prize for Architecture 2021”.
The “Bavarian Architecture Prize” and the “Bavarian State Prize for Architecture” were awarded for the seventh time this year. Since 2007, the Bavarian Architecture Award has honoured personalities and works that have rendered outstanding services to architecture and building culture in Bavaria. A work awarded the Bavarian Architecture Prize can also be honoured with the Bavarian State Prize for Architecture if it makes a special contribution to building culture in Bavaria.
The winners of the “Bavarian Architecture Award 2021” received their awards from Chamber President Prof. Lydia Haack at the award ceremony on 22 November 2021 at 6 p.m. in the House of Architecture of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects in Munich.
