As part of the regional building culture initiative “Hohenlohe-Tauberfranken”, the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects, Chamber District Stuttgart, together with the Ministry of Regional Development and Housing, awarded
44 exemplary projects for good building culture.
14 of them from the Hohenlohe district, 16 from the Main-Tauber district and 14 from the Schwäbisch Hall district.
We are delighted to announce that the SWG was one of these award winners.
Comments from the jury:
“With the Schraubenwerk Gaisbach, two companies originating and based in the region, together with Hermann Kaufmann + Partner, show what is possible with hardwood. The supporting structure made of regional beech is pioneering in its dimensions and static properties and explores the use of materials to the maximum.
Together with indirectly guided daylight, the use of rainwater and the use of a gas-driven air compressor for heat and cold control, the project impressively demonstrates a possible path to climate-friendly construction in the commercial building sector.”
44 good building culture awards given.
Chaired by Wolfgang Sanwald, Deputy District Chairman of the Stuttgart Chamber District of the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects, the seven-member jury met intensively for two days and selected 44 exemplary entries for an award. Minister Nicole Razavi was very impressed by the diversity and ingenuity of the projects.
